every now and then, the universe conspires to create a PERFECT photo environment, and this past saturday at Boscobel Gardens in Garrison, NY was one of them. it had been raining all morning but had cleared up just in time, leaving us with an unbelievably gorgeous, deep blue, cloud-filled, dramatic sky for photos. meanwhile, fall was in full effect, with oranges and reds everywhere and swirls of leaves flying through the air with every wind gust. it was the epitome of the season. mary beth and john--the newlyweds--were excited, but not nearly as excited as my associate shooter, gulya, and i, and rich avvento (www.avventoweddings.com), the videographer. we must have appeared--to the average person--freakishly happy about the scenery.
the only problem was the cold, and we were getting slightly impatient waiting for each gust so we could get a shot of mary beth and john with the leaves blowing, so we charmed our video buddy rich into dropping his video camera and being the leaf-guy for a while--check out the photo gulya took of rich throwing leaves out of an umbrella so we could get the shot. what a guy...anyway we all had such a good time shooting in the park that we couldn't help but share a few images with mary beth--check out my shot of gulya showing off our work to her....
of course, all this was just a prelude to the real fun, which was me getting to join in and do the hand jive at the reception. all you Grease fans out there, you know what i'm talkin' bout....born to hand jive baby!!!
i'm gearing up for another triple-header this weeked. wish me luck in getting through!
