Lenore was the bride, born 8 minutes before her identical twin. Fortunately, one sister was wearing all white, and a veil, so it was easy to tell who was who.
This was a daytime wedding, and i'm pleased to say that the guests definitely proved our theory wrong about it being impossible to party as hard during the day as you can at a nighttime wedding. This crowd was amazing! The music was supplied by DJ Serj Entertainment and the party was beyond hoppin'. Good ol' fashioned Italian Tarantella and all.
I've been experiencing a surge of artistic inspiration as of late and am really into the results of yesterday's shoot. Here's a sampling.

KenzieKate Invitations
First of all, props to one of my favorite former brides, Mackenzie Sala of KenzieKate Invitations, for posting about our Free Trash the Dress Contest. Since her wedding several years back, Mackenzie has gone on to build a *very cool* custom wedding invitation company, and an equally awesome blog called Something Old, Something New, where she posts products and inspiration for modern weddings, parties, and big to-do's. It's an excellent source and Mackenzie sets the bar high for consistent and frequent blog updating.
Here's the post on her blog about our Trash the Dress Contest.
Thanks Mackenzie! Give my best to Dell!
I heart Angelica Glass
ok so i've been in this business a long time. i've seen LOTS of photos. it's hard to impress me.
and i am impressed.
enter angelica glass.
i've been hearing her name around our mutual nyc wedding photographer circles for a while now, but hadn't actually seen any of her work. all i knew was that she had a really cool name.
then, last week a bride named libby came to meet with me, saying that she had been referred by angelica glass. since i've never met or even spoken to angelica, i thought it was a really kind gesture, and so i finally put it on my to-do list to check out her site.
wow. she is phenomenal! i sorta think the sun follows her around more closely than the rest of us. the flare, the colors, the moments, the details, the shadowplay, yum. yum yum yummy yum. inspiring, amazing work.
angelica, if i ever get married again, i am coming for you. :)
check her out everyone.

Ashley & Eric
Saturday's was a fun Connecticut wedding with the happiest bride i've seen in a while. i'll remember it for the distinct scent of Fall in the air, and the joyful surprise of seeing sara and scott barton, whose wedding i shot on june 24th of last year (special thanks to them for referring me to ashley and eric).
here's a photo devon took of me catching up with them, feeling the thrill and the rush i always get when couples tell me how happy they are with their photos. for me, there's nothing better than knowing that my work made it onto the fireplace mantle, the living room wall, the album on the bookshelf, and their memory of that day. it gives my job and my life meaning, and reminds me why i love wedding photography.

Dana & Jerry
dana was stunning and possibly the most laid back, mellow bride we've had the pleasure of spending the day with in a while! last night was another kickin' party too, this time under a beautiful tent at the hyatt regency hotel in old greenwich, CT. some of the highlights of the day were sharing the dance floor with katie couric (a friend of the family), witnessing the junior bridesmaids bust a move on the floor, experiencing some authentic italian dance, and hearing jerry's dad sing a gorgeous opera song after dinner.
check out her moves!
on our way out at the end of the night, jerry grabbed devon for a quick snapshot.
